Comparison experiment of conventional continuous cropping late japonica rice varieties in Shangyu District

Abstract:

Shangyu District of Shaoxing City is the main grain producing area of Zhejiang Province, the main mode of planting is double cropping rice, and the perennial planting of double cropping late rice has a large area, but the current continuous cropping late rice has a single variety, the main variety has a long planting life, etc., and it is urgent to introduce new varieties with moderate maturity, high quality and high yield, and strong resistance as the main varieties, so as to lay the foundation for the stable and high yield of continuous cropping late rice. To this end, in 2022, 4 new varieties were introduced, including Xiushui 7204 and Chunjiang 166, for regional comparison. The results showed that the maturity date, yield and resistance of the new varieties were better than those of the main cultivars of the year, and they were suitable for planting as double-cropping late rice in Shangyu Area.
