Abstract:

In order to investigate the effect of different harvest periods on seed quality of hybrid rice F1 generation, this study selected three hybrid rice seed production combinations, namely Jing 4155S/R534, Quan 9311A/Wushansimiao, and Longzhen 36S/Yuzhan, as experimental materials. After spraying gibberellin, 8 different harvest periods were set to study the effect of different harvest times on the seed quality of hybrid rice F1 generation. By examining relevant agronomic traits, the results showed that Jing 4155S/R534 has good comprehensive seed quality and is suitable for harvesting around 33 days after spraying gibberellin; Quan 9311A/Wushansimiao seedlings have good comprehensive seed quality and are suitable for harvesting around 30 days after spraying gibberellin; Longzhen 36S/Yuzhan is suitable for harvesting around 35 days after spraying Jiuerling. Therefore, selecting an appropriate harvesting period can significantly improve the germination rate and vigor of hybrid rice seeds, increase thousand grain weight, reduce the degree of seed powdering and glume cracking, improve the quality of hybrid rice seeds, and ensure stable yield of hybrid rice.
