Abstract:

Jiaheyou 7245 is a new hybrid rice combination developed by the China National Rice Research Institute in collaboration with Jiaxing Academy of Agricultural Sciences and other institutions, which using Jiahe 212A (a long grain japonica rice three line male sterile line) as the female parent and Zhonghui 7245 (a middle indica late maturing restoring line) as the male parent. This combination has advantages such as high yield, good quality, and resistance to lodging. It passed the national approval (National Authorized Rice 20170064) in July 2017, and from 2020 to 2022, it successively passed the variety approval of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (Gui Authorized Rice 2020220), Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region late rice (Gui Authorized Rice 2022093), and Jiangxi Province (Gan Authorized Rice 20210016). In 2022, it passed the Fujian Province introduction filing: Min Introduction Rice〔2022〕No. 1, which is suitable for planting middle and late rice in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. This article introduces the breeding process, characteristics, high-yield cultivation, and seed production techniques of Jiaheyou 7245.
