Comprehensive evaluation of 15 alfalfa varieties in Inner Mongolia central region

Abstract:

In this study, 15 key alfalfa varieties that widely cultivated in home and abroad were taken as the research object, and their adaptability were evaluated in the central region of Inner Mongolia. The aim of this study was to screen alfalfa varieties with excellent comprehensive traits that suitable for irrigation conditions in the central region of Inner Mongolia through grey-relation comprehensive evaluation. The results shown that Juneng No.401, Plato and Caoyuan No.2 were preferred alfalfa varieties in this area which had higher comprehensive ranking under both equal-weighted and weighted correlation. The performance of Spyder and Longdong was the worst and was not suitable for planting in the region.
