Abstract:

Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp. is one of the traditional advantageous vegetable crops in Zhejiang Province. The diseases and pests occurred frequently and severely in Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp. production, especially Fusarium wilt, thrips and Maruca vitrata (Fabricius). Now the prevention and control of diseases and pests in Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp. in Zhejiang Province mainly rely on chemical pesticides, but their control effect is not the best, which can easily cause problems such as excessive pesticide residues and environmental pollution. By comprehensively analyzing the current control situation for diseases and pests in Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp., combined with the climate conditions and planting habits of farmers in Zhejiang Province, we recommend early spring facility cultivation and high-altitude cultivation models for Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp. production based on the environmentally-friendly control methods, which will provide scientific guidance and practical basis for the sustainable development of the industry of Vigna unguiculata (L.) Walp. in Zhejiang Province.
