Abstract:

This study aimed to optimize the key technologies for large-scale breeding of Whitmania pigra, clarify the appropriate threshold values of key water environmental factors and their effects on the growth and survival of W. pigra, and construct an intensive and healthy breeding model. Using gradient experiments, the suitable ranges for physicochemical parameters such as water temperature, dissolved oxygen(DO) content,pH value were determined. Additionally,16S rRNA sequencing was applied to monitor the composition and distribution of aquatic microorganisms. These parameters were comprehensively analyzed and evaluated for their effect on the survival rate of W. pigra. The results showed that the optimal breeding conditions were 25.1-28.0 °C,DO content≥5.1 mg·L-1,and pH value 6.6-7.5,under which the 10-day survival rate was over 90%. Based on these findings, this study further integrated key technologies such as optimized hatching substrates, ecological recirculating water breeding, disease prevention and control, and diversified breeding models, forming an efficient and healthy breeding technology system for W. pigra. The findings provide technical support for the standardization and sustainable development of W. pigra breeding industry.
