Current situation and development strategies of sweet potato production in Zhejiang Province

Abstract:

Sweet potato is an important food, feed, industrial raw material, and new energy crop, as well as an advantageous crop to promote rural revitalization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas. Zhejiang Province is the main sweet potato production area in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. This article summarizes the current production status of sweet potato industry in Zhejiang Province. Based on this, it further analyzes the problems in the development of sweet potato in Zhejiang Province, such as slow variety update and iteration, low popularization rate of virus-free seedling technology, and uneven development of production mechanization. Corresponding development strategies are proposed to provide reference for the high-quality development of sweet potato industry in Zhejiang Province.
