Abstract:

The relationship between agronomic traits and yield of nine representative late japonica rice varieties in Zhejiang Province was analyzed. The effects of agronomic traits on yield could be understood, and to find the rules of late japonica rice variety examination and approval in Zhejiang province. In this study, nine late japonica rice varieties with good performance in Zhejiang Province were selected, and the representative varieties were transplanted to the field after accelerating germination, agronomic traits such as plant height, stem diameter, tillering, flag leaf length, flag leaf width and chlorophyll content were measured. Flag leaf width and stem diameter were the two most important factors affecting yield. The average stem diameter and flag leaf width of three cultivars in 2010-2019 were the largest in three periods, stem diameter and flag leaf width were the most important agronomic traits affecting yield of late japonica rice, and breeding researchers in Zhejiang Province had been increasing stem diameter and flag leaf width of late japonica rice.
