Performance and cultivation techniques of Yongyou 4901 as ratooning rice in eastern Zhejiang

Abstract:

This paper summarized the production performance and key cultivation techniques of Yongyou 4901 as ratooning rice，in order to provide a reference for ratooning rice cultivation practices in the eastern Zhejiang region. Results showed that Yongyou 4901 has the characteristics of suitable growth period，good lodging resistance，high yield and excellent grain quality. From 2020 to 2022，the average growth duration of Yongyou 4901 was 244 days，including 153 days in the first season and 91 days in the ratoon season. The average yield of the two seasons was 14.1 t·hm^-2 including 8.8 t·hm^-2 in the first season and 5.3 t·hm^-2 in the ratoon season. The rice quality in the ratoon season met the requirements of the second and third class edible indica rice. The total cost investment and economic benefit was 38 222.5 ^{and 25 357.5 yuan·hm^-2.}
