Abstract:

To address the feed dependence of Bostrychus sinensis on trash fish, the study selected overwintering juvenile Bostrychus sinensis as the research subject, and randomly divided them into three groups, the silver carp group(HM group),the fermented feed group(FD group),and the plum carp group(control group, trash fish,CTF group),with three replicates per group, each containing 25 fish, over an 80-day trial period. The results showed that compared with the CTF group, the survival rate of HM and FD group significantly(p<0.05)increased by 19.51 and 21.92 percentage points, and the pepsin activity and amylase activity of HM and FD group significantly increased. There were no significant differences in weight gain rate, specific growth rate, and fat full among the HM group,FD group, and CTF group. The liver to body ratio in the FD group was significantly lower than that in the CTF and HM groups. There were no significant differences in contents of crude protein, moisture, ash and crude fat,and fatty acid composition among the HM group,FD group, and CTF group. The fatty acids of Bostrychus sinensis mainly consist of C14:0、C16:0、C18:0、C16:1、C18:1、C20:1、C18:2、C18:3ALA、C20:4、C20:5、C22:6. The serum lysozyme activity, liver lysozyme activity and liver total antioxidant capacity of HM group significantly increased in comparison to CTF and FD group. Compared with the CTF group, the serum lysozyme activity and liver lysozyme activity of FD group significantly decreased, while the liver total antioxidant capacity significantly increased. In a word, feeding with silver carp and fermented feed can improve the survival rate, the digestibility of protein and the immunity of Bostrychus sinensis, without significant effect on the growth performance and nutrient composition of Bostrychus sinensis.
