Abstract:

The high-yield and high-efficiency cultivation technique for feed barley was integrated in the context of climate conditions and production experience in Zhejiang Province. The technique covers aspects such as field pretreatment, variety selection, seed dressing, timely sowing, efficient fertilization, chemical regulation, pest, disease and weed control, stress tolerance improvement,as well as timely harvest. The technique was applied in Pinghu,Zhejiang from 2024 to 2025,achieving an average yield of 9 563.5 kg·hm-2,which represented a 33.9% increase over the provincial high-yield record for barley under conventional cultivation practices in Zhejiang. Efforts should be made to promote and demonstrate this technique to underpin the large-scale yield increase of feed barley in Zhejiang Province.
