Abstract:

To evaluate the growth characteristics of high-yielding wheat varieties in northern Zhejiang, refine supporting cultivation techniques, and provide technical support for the high-quality development of the local wheat industry and the widespread adoption of new varieties, this study used Yangmai 28 as a control to investigate the growth period,Fusarium head blight resistance, lodging resistance, yield, and key economic traits of 15 new wheat varieties cultivated in Changxing,Zhejiang. Results showed significant variations among the tested varieties in terms of growth period,Fusarium head blight resistance, lodging resistance, and yield. Among the 15 varieties,Ningmai 24,Yangmai 39,Zhehua No.1,Zhefengmai 11,Nongmai 77,and Nongmai 99 all achieved yields exceeding 400 kg per 667 m2. Considering Fusarium head blight resistance, lodging resistance, and cold tolerance comprehensively,Zhefengmai 11 demonstrated the best performance with a Fusarium head blight disease index of 7.0,lodging resistance rating of 3,and cold tolerance grade of 1;followed by Yangmai 39,Nongmai 99,and Zhehua No.1. In conclusion, these varieties showed excellent potential for widespread adoption in northern Zhejiang.
