Abstract:

This article primarily outlined the breeding process and practical production performance of the new high-oil-content,high-yield soybean variety Quqiu No.9. Quzhou Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences conducted a cross in 2011 using Nannong 99-6 as the female parent and Nannong 88-31 as the male parent. Through long-term systematic selection based on the pedigree method, the dry-grain autumn soybean variety Quqiu No.9 was successfully bred. In the regional trials of Zhejiang Province from 2021 to 2022,Quqiu No.9 achieved an average yield of 2 812.8 kg·hm-2. In the production trial of 2024,this variety produced an average yield of 2 474.1 kg·hm-2,representing a 10.5% increase compared with the control variety Zheqiu 5,with a 100.0% yield increase rate at all trial sites. Besides, the survey revealed that Quqiu No.9 exhibited excellent agronomic traits such as good pod-setting ability, small pod size, and non-shattering pods. The seeds were ellipsoidal with light yellow seed coats and brown hilum. Additionally,it possessed superior characteristics including high oil content, high and stable yield, and good disease resistance, making it suitable for promotion and cultivation in Zhejiang region.
