Rice quality characteristics in different japonica rice planting regions

Abstract:

As one of the main food crops in China, rice plays a significant role in national food security and social development. As a category of rice, japonica rice has a good appearance and taste, and is widely favored by consumers. Excluding the indica rice planting areas, the japonica rice planting areas in China can be divided into northeast planting area, northwest planting area, Huanghuai planting area, southwest planting area, and south China planting area. Due to factors such as different geographical locations and climatic environments, there are significant differences in the quality of japonica rice in different planting regions. This article mainly summarizes the quality characteristics of different japonica rice varieties in various planting areas, providing reference for future japonica rice breeding work.
